A month and a half winter event held throughout the year

The event ''Snow! Lights! Art! Aomori Winter Wonderland'' will be held for 52 days from December 13, 2024 (Friday) to February 2 (Sunday) of the following year, and various events will be held throughout the city where you can experience the charm of Aomori in winter. Here we will introduce some of them. During the "Nebuta Technique Illumination" held throughout the period, the outdoor walkway of "Nebuta House Wa Rasse" will be illuminated using Nebuta techniques. The illuminations were created by Hiroo Takenami, the 7th generation Nebuta master, with the theme of ''Aomori's new wind'', Rika Tsukamoto, who is attracting attention as a female Nebuta master, with the theme of ''bubbles'', and in celebration of the 400th anniversary of the opening of Aomori Port in 2025, the theme was ''Lights of the 400th Anniversary of the Opening of the Port - Lights of Minato''. The lighting time is 5 hours from 16:00 to 21:00. Come and experience the world of figurative art created using the Nebuta technique and the fantastic atmosphere that can only be experienced in winter.
