Fukushima City/Spectacular day and night views from a large panoramic view. “Shinbuyama” is located in the center of the basin.

The stage for the Fukushima Waraji Festival is a symbol of the city with an outstanding view.

Mt. Shinobu, located in the central part of Fukushima City, is made up of peaks including Mt. Kumano, Mt. Haguro, and Mt. Hayama. The ''Akatsuki Mairi'' in February and the ''Fukushima Waraji Festival'' in August are held every year in which large waraji are dedicated to Haguro Shrine on Mt. Shinobu to pray for good health and good health. This time, we will introduce how to enjoy Mt. Shinobu, a beloved symbol of Fukushima City, and the highlights.

Mount Shinobu, with an altitude of 275m and a circumference of approximately 7km, is a woodland rich in nature that changes its appearance in spring, summer, fall, and winter. Although it has the word ''mountain'' in its name, it is actually a terrain called ''remaining hills''. Because the rock is harder than the surrounding area, it was left behind when the Fukushima Basin collapsed. Because it is an "isolated hill" in a basin, the top of the mountain offers a vast panoramic view, and each of the seven observation decks offers a different spectacular view.

The Karagasaki Observation Deck on the west side is especially popular. You can see the entire city of Fukushima, and in the distance you can see the majestic mountains such as the Azuma Mountain Range, Adatara Mountain Range, and Azuma-Kofuji. The view is spectacular not only during the day but also after sunset, and the wide field of view allows you to enjoy the spectacular night view.

In addition, the ''Second Observatory'', where you can enjoy the view to the east, is close to the parking lot and has a park and pavilion with a variety of play equipment, so it is a place that many families visit. You can see the Fukushima Racecourse below and the city to the east, where you can also enjoy a beautiful night view.
