Yamagata City/“Another mountain temple”. Experience the mystery of the sacred site “Tarumi Ruins”
2024/08/01

The whole area is fantastic. Sacred spots dotted with nature
Continuing along the walking path from the Tarumi ruins, there are various sights to see, including seven strangely shaped rocks known as the ''Shiroiwa Seven Rocks,'' the ''Shugenjo Ruins,'' where many monks ascetic monks once gathered for festivals, and the ''Tainai Kuguri,'' where it is said that you can be reborn by passing through a hole in the rock. It takes about 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes to go around Minenoura and arrive at Yamadera Cemetery. The fantastic scenery offers a majestic worldview that is completely different from that of Yamadera. It is also recommended for a slightly deeper trip to Yamagata.
Mineoura requires walking through the mountains, so it is essential to wear clothes that are easy to move in when visiting. If you are confident in your physical strength, why not visit Yamadera as a set?
