Aomori City/Festival excitement fills the city! Experience the Aomori Nebuta Festival in the Bay Area

Not just on the day of the performance. Enjoy the immersive experience of the Nebuta Festival at tourist facilities

The Aomori Bay Area, where tourist facilities are lined up from Aomori Station to the coast, is a must-see spot for the Aomori Nebuta Festival. During the festival period, it is crowded with tourists, and on the final day, a Nebuta boat ride and a fireworks display are held at Aomori Port. Furthermore, this area is a place where you can experience the Nebuta Festival in various forms throughout the year. This time, we will introduce you to the Aomori Nebuta Festival, which you can enjoy in the Bay Area even outside of the festival period.

A must-see tourist facility when visiting Aomori City is Nebuta House Wa Rasse, where you can experience the culture and history of Nebuta while viewing a large Nebuta up close. Nebuta Hayashi music is played in the Nebuta Hall, and you can feel the atmosphere of the Nebuta Festival.

The triangular building located 8 minutes walk from there is the Aomori Prefecture Tourism and Local Products Center ASPAM, an information facility for tourism and local products in Aomori. The souvenir corner boasts a wide selection of crafts and local products, and the observation deck on the 13th floor offers a panoramic view of Aomori city, Mutsu Bay, and the Hakkoda mountains. What you should definitely stop by is the 360° 3D digital video theater, one of the largest in Japan. You can experience the power of Aomori's summer festivals and the scenery of the four seasons in real-time with immersive 3D images.

At Aoiumi Park adjacent to Aspam, Nebuta Rasse Land, where many Nebuta huts are lined up, will appear from early May until the end of the festival. Inside the work shed, a Nebuta master is making a large Nebuta, a sight that can only be seen at this time of the year as the Aomori Nebuta Festival approaches.
