Aomori City/Aomori Nebuta Festival preparation spot that will make you look forward to the actual event
2024/07/01

“Rasseland” is a Nebuta hut that only appears during the Nebuta production period.

There is another spot where you can experience the "Aomori Nebuta Festival" a little earlier. This is the Nebuta hut where Nebuta production takes place, commonly known as ''Rasseland''. For about three months from early May until the end of the festival, 22 tents are lined up in a corner of Aoumi Park, and Nebuta masters from each operating organization put their souls into creating large Nebuta. From July 1st to August 6th, from 10:00 to 15:00 (last entry at 2:30 p.m.), volunteer guides provide free tours and explain the origins of Nebuta, the structure of the festival, and the production process in an easy-to-understand manner. You will be able to see up close the Nebuta production process and the Nebuta before they go to war, so you are sure to enjoy the actual Nebuta operation even more. The event is open to individuals and groups of up to 10 people (groups are not allowed), and reservations can be made in advance.
