Fukushima City/Taste autumn at roadside station Fukushima and its traditional autumn festival

I want to go out of my way! ''Roadside Station Fukushima'' where you can find Fukushima's special delicacies

Autumn is full of seasonal fruits. Along Prefectural Route 5, commonly known as the "Fruit Line," in the western part of Fukushima City, there are orchards and direct sales stands, where you can enjoy picking seasonal fruits such as cherries, peaches, pears, grapes, and apples.

But fruits are not the only autumn flavor in Fukushima City. Roadside Station Fukushima, which opened in April 2022, is a place where you can find delicious local products and gourmet food. This is a roadside station located along the Fruit Line, adjacent to the Tohoku Chuo Expressway's Fukushima-Osasao IC.

The farmers' market is stocked with seasonal fruits, fresh vegetables, processed products such as ham and sausage, sweets made with local ingredients, and side dishes. They also have local sake, and are perfect for looking for souvenirs.

The restaurant offers a menu that focuses on locally produced ingredients such as Fukushima branded meat, prefectural buckwheat flour, and fresh seafood caught off the coast of Fukushima. At the food court, you can enjoy ramen and udon noodles made by popular ramen shops in the city, as well as extremely fresh sushi and seafood bowls that can only be found at directly managed intermediate wholesalers.

The take-out sweets shop sells soft-serve ice cream, parfaits, pancakes, etc. with Azuma Kofuji's snow-shaped snow rabbit as a motif, and all of them are popular because they look great on SNS.

In addition, we have a full range of facilities such as an indoor children's playground, dog run, rental bicycles, and shower rooms, so we recommend renting a bicycle and touring the orchard. You can have fun all day long.
