Full-fledged event for the first time in 4 years! "Jozenji Street Jazz Festival"

The autumn tradition that colors Sendai City is the Jozenji Street Jazz Festival. This is a free outdoor music event that is popularly known as the "Jazz Festival" and is held every September.

Everywhere in the city, including the beautiful Jozenji Street lined with zelkova trees, streets, parks, shopping districts, and plazas, will be transformed into stages just for this day, and the city will be filled with music. Various genres of music such as jazz, rock, world music, and gospel are performed for professionals, amateurs, and people of all ages, and everyone at the venue, including the performers and audience, as well as the executive committee and management volunteers, come together to enjoy the live music.

You can check the stage timetable on the official pamphlet distributed free of charge and go to see the band you're looking for, or you can just walk around and listen to a band that catches your eye. While enjoying street food such as Sendai specialties and Miyagi local sake, you can sway your body to the rhythm. Enjoy it however you like.

This year, the 32nd edition, will be held on September 9th (Sat) and 10th (Sun). With the theme of ''Sound Performance'', over 400 bands selected from public applications from all over the country will perform in their own way.
