Fukushima City/Go to Goshikinuma, a cool spot in Tsuchiyu Onsen, and a spectacular view of Mt.

Hiking at Tsuchiyu Onsen "Menuma". SUP & Kayak experience too!

Due to the inland climate unique to the basin, Fukushima City has a large temperature difference between summer and winter, and the four seasons can be clearly felt. If you're looking to cool off, you'll want to visit the Azuma Mountain Range, where you can enjoy a variety of leisure activities such as hiking, mountain climbing, driving, and hot springs.

Menuma and Onuma, located approximately 10 minutes by car from Tsuchiyu Onsen, are swamps that are said to have been created by a tsunami during the Daido era (806-810). The two swamps are surrounded by trees and offer views throughout the four seasons. In autumn, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the colorful mountains reflected in the water.

There is also a promenade connecting Menuma and Onuma, and one circuit takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes. There are many sights to see, such as Akebono Wetland and Nidanuma, which are home to a colony of skunk cabbage, a colony of anthrax, and Omoi no Taki, where the legend of a tragic love between a young samurai and a princess remains, so why not enjoy a hike while being bathed in negative ions?

Menuma, where you can drive to the lakeside, is also attracting attention as a spot where you can enjoy SUP and kayaking. Guided SUP/kayak experience tours are popular among people of all ages as they are easy to enjoy even for beginners. We also have SUP/kayak rentals for experienced users, as well as tent sauna rentals, so you can enjoy the real pleasure of an outdoor sauna by immersing yourself in the swamp after getting out of the sauna.
