Akita City/Feel cool at Fushin Falls and enjoy the sunset from Selion

Impressed by the sunset over the Sea of Japan from Port Tower Selion

If you are visiting Akita City, you must experience the sunset over the Sea of Japan from Port Tower Selion at Roadside Station Akita Port. Roadside Station Akita Port, commonly known as ''Selion'', is comprised of the 143m tall Port Tower Selion, which stands out in Akita Port, the indoor green park ''Selion Lista'', and the Akita Port Promotion Center ''Selion Plaza''. Port Tower Selion is well-known as the symbol tower of Akita City.

The observation deck of Port Tower Selion, located 100m above ground, is a popular spot where you can enjoy a 360° panoramic view for free. You can see the Sea of Japan, Akita City, and on clear days Oga Peninsula to the north and Mt. Chokai to the south. The sunset over the Sea of Japan is especially spectacular. The gradation of the sea and sky as the sun sets is beautiful, and the magic hour that comes after the sun sets will captivate your heart.

The night view that spreads out after the sun sets is also fantastic. There is also a heart-shaped couple bench in the observation room, which is also recommended for a date night. The entire tower is lit up from 16:30 to 22:00 every day, and you can enjoy the night view from outside.

In Port Tower Selion, there is the ''Selion Garden'' with a wide selection of Akita souvenirs, a cafe, restaurant, and a children's corner where you can play for free, and in Selion Lista, there is a vending machine for udon and soba from Sawara Shoten, which is famous for its Showa retro style. We also sell ''take-out udon packs'' that allow you to enjoy this flavor at home, so why not take them home as souvenirs?
