Today we will be traveling somewhere to report, mainly focusing on the six prefectures of Tohoku. I love traveling both domestically and internationally, even in my private life.

Fukushima City: Stroll through the three station streets and experience local life
2023/07/09
The elegant atmosphere is perfect for a leisurely stroll
All over the country, roads have common names that are unique to the area, and such "streets" also exist around Fukushima Station. This time we will introduce three of them.
If you walk straight from the east exit of Fukushima Station, you will find a cobblestone street that stretches for 470 meters. Paseo 470 (Yonnamaru) is one of the downtown areas of Fukushima City. Paseo means "walk, promenade" in Spanish. It is called ''Paseo Street'' by the citizens, and as the name suggests, it is a fun path to walk on, with well-maintained sidewalks decorated with colorful trees, flowers, and sculptures. It is a shopping street lined with shops such as ''WINE & GYOZA BAR TERUI'', a gyoza and wine shop run by the famous Fukushima local gourmet dish ''Disk Gyoza''.
In 2022, the ''Machinaka Square'' along the street will be renovated, and will be developed as an oasis in the city that can be used for events and rest spots. Another highlight is the staff design on the floor, which is named after Yuji Koseki, a composer from Fukushima City. From the clock tower on Paseo Street, which was renovated at the same time as the plaza, the Koseki melody is played four times a day.
