Akita City/Feel close to Akita’s culture and nature while taking a walk
2023/06/13

Now is the season when roses with beautiful colors and scents begin to bloom.
Next to the moist garden, we will introduce a fresh green spot full of activities. "Taiping Mountain Resort Park" is a leisure spot surrounded by the nature of Taiping Mountain. There is a ''Flower Park'' and ''Botanical Garden'' inside, so you can enjoy Akita's four seasons to the fullest.
"Flower Park" is a plaza with a vast lawn area and flower beds. You can take a walk in the rich natural environment while feeling the four seasons. May is the time when the roses in the Rose Garden begin to bloom. Enjoy the display of roses in a variety of colors and shapes in a three-dimensional garden inspired by an English garden. You can also stroll through zones with different tastes, such as the ''Conifer Garden,'' where you can enjoy a variety of greenery of different varieties, the ''Biotope,'' where you can observe creatures such as dragonflies and frogs, and the ''Marsh Plants Garden,'' where you can enjoy hygroscopic plants such as the Japanese cypress, and ground cover flowers such as Shibazakura and Hypericum.

The Botanical Garden exhibits many trees and wild plants that can be found in the mountains and fields of Akita City. There is also a walking path, so you can enjoy a leisurely tour and get in touch with nature.
This is the season when the surrounding greenery starts to come alive as we approach summer. Let's go out and find that breath.
