Sendai City/Welcome to the “Mori no Miyako” where zelkova trees grow lushly in the center of the city

A main street that is a symbol of Sendai City and is illuminated by sunlight filtering through the trees.

Jozenji-dori Street, which is also one of the festival venues, is a symbolic road that embodies the ''City of Forests'', with rows of zelkova trees stretching for 700 meters from east to west. Bronze statues of Greco and Crocetti are lined up on the promenade built into the median strip, making it look like an outdoor gallery. There are also benches nearby, making it a place for citizens to relax. It is also often used as a venue for events throughout the year, and when events are held, a variety of stalls appear, making it a lively place.

A large shadow created by four rows of zelkova trees. The scenery where the sunlight filters through the trees spreads out in the center, not far from JR Sendai Station, making it truly an oasis in the heart of the city.

Why not take a stroll around the city and breathe in the scent of fresh greenery?
