While looking up at the fresh greenery on the trekking course along the valley
Next, we would like to introduce you to "Momijigawa Valley". This valley is located at the foot of Mt. Omoshiroyama on the border between Yamagata and Miyagi prefectures, and as its name suggests, it is a famous spot for autumn leaves, where the trees dyed red and yellow create an exquisite contrast with the evergreens. However, the beauty that comes with the season of fresh green leaves is something that cannot be ignored. The trekking course, which is approximately 2km long and has been maintained along the valley, includes waterfalls of various sizes and suspension bridges that give you a thrilling experience, allowing you to enjoy trekking while experiencing the dynamism of nature. The harmony between the sound of the brook coming from the valley and the rustling of the treetops is so soothing to your ears that you'll almost forget the passage of time. There are two entrances to the course, the ''upstream entrance'' located right near JR Shiroyama Kogen Station, and the ''downstream entrance'' approximately 2 km from the station, so choose the one that best suits your access situation.
Experience the fresh feeling of being washed from the core of your body while trekking surrounded by the majestic nature.
