Fukushima City/Spring has arrived! “Fukushima Flower Corridor” trip to visit famous flower spots

One of the best cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan, visited by cherry blossom viewing visitors from all over the country

As spring approaches, flowers of different shapes begin to bloom all over Fukushima City. We have named this spot where you can visit famous flower spots ''Fukushima Flower Corridor'' as a way to enjoy Fukushima in the spring. Here we will introduce some spots that become more colorful with each passing day, with a particular focus on cherry blossoms.

The first one is Hanamiyama Park. It is famous for flower farmers who opened their fields to the public because they thought it would be a waste to enjoy them on their own, and it is a cherry blossom viewing spot where you can enjoy not only cherry blossoms but also other flowers such as forsythia and Japanese peach. It is also popular as a trekking course, and there are three courses within the park: 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and 60 minutes. Fukushima flower guides will be standing at the course junctions and will be happy to tell you about recommended viewing spots and highlights. Experience the happy trekking experience where you walk admiring the cherry blossoms and before you know it you're already at the top.

The next thing I would like to introduce is "Shinobuyama". It is a symbol of Fukushima City, standing tall and seemingly sitting in the center of the city. Strictly speaking, it is a hill consisting of three mountains: Kumano-san, Haguro-san, and Hayama, and has been an object of worship since ancient times as ''Oyama.'' Approximately 2,000 cherry trees, including Someiyoshino and Yamazakura, have been planted throughout the mountain. In particular, 300 cherry trees are gathered at Shinoyama Park, located at the southern foot of the mountain, and visitors flock to see the cherry blossoms during the usual season.
