Fukushima City/Fukushima City’s only locally-rooted sake brewery “Kinsuisho Shuzoten”

The cup goes to simple traditional food.

In Fukushima City, the standard accompaniment to alcohol is the local dish "Ikajinjin." It is a traditional dish in which shredded carrots and dried squid are marinated in a sweet and spicy sauce made with soy sauce, sake, and mirin. The crunchy carrots are soaked with the flavor of dried squid and seasonings, making it addictive. It has been eaten as a preserved winter food for a long time, and in Fukushima City, it is an essential dish for New Year's. As we all know, squid and alcohol go well together. During this harshly cold season, we recommend sipping hot ''Kinsuisho'' sake with squid carrots as an accompaniment.

Also, a Fukushima specialty that pairs surprisingly well with sake is ''disk dumplings''. Disc dumplings are filled with vegetables and are often small and light, so you can really taste the taste of the alcohol.

"Golden Crystal" is handmade and cannot be mass-produced. Why not visit the directly managed store next to the brewery while traveling or driving?
